Humble Beginnings - Conclusion

Could all this be Reverse Snobbery?
Conventional wisdom holds that snobbish behaviour is born of insecurity. Research holds the contrary: that snobs genuinely believe they're better than others.
I say embrace your snobbery (if that's who you are) rather than piss me off with fake humble pie. This heartfelt kinship to the disenfranchised is starting to sound affected and downright manipulative. I'll even start:
My name is Dina. I'm a writer & I'm far from perfect.
I'm a confirmed coffee & wine snob.
Thank you for putting up with me anyway.
There now, can we please hit the pause button on all this saintly martyrdom?
Not all writers need to lay claim to being hicks whose blood runs cold at the sight of rich people!

Dare to break from the pack!! Heck, you could show up in silks & ruffles no less!
But do show up leading from your strengths, not weaknesses.
If you're Mother Theresa, by all means flaunt it, but if you're not & you pretend to be, some of us may be able to <smell a rat from underneath a rock a few towns over> [Please if anyone knows the exact Alistair MacLeod, do message me, or leave a comment]
BTW, tomorrow, I don't have to get up a 4 a.m. I should sound less like Grumpy Cat....maybe.
